Educational Puzzles
Visit this page often. We will be posting new puzzles all the time!
To install one of these puzzles for use with your Brain Cell software:
Click on the puzzle you wish to download. Save it to a temporary directory.
Unzip the puzzle to your Brain Cell directory (normally c:\program files\braincel\)
Start your Brain Cell program
Pull down the File Menu on the new puzzle screen and select Install Puzzles (only available to registered users)
Highlight the puzzle you just downloaded and press Install
Your new puzzle is ready to play!
Synonyms
and Antonyms (Synandant.zip) :
Your job is to match up the words with their synonyms and antonyms. Use the clues or use your knowledge!
French Lesson - Pets (Frenchp.zip) :
Four pets are in a line. You must determine what order they are in and what color each one is. The only tricky part is that the clues are in French!
This is a simple math drill to illustrate how Brain Cell can be utilized as a fun way to practice math drills. No clues provided on this one. Use your knowledge!
Vocabulary Lesson (Vocab1.zip) : contributed by Steven Holmes of Hiram Johnson High School in Sacramento
This is a simple puzzle, merely 1-dimensional, that illustrates how Brain Cell can be used as a fun way to reinforce a vocabulary lesson. The student is given 5 words and must place them in order based on the clues. The clues are quite creative!
US Presidents (Presidents.zip): You must place these 5 famous US Presidents in chronological order, 1st through most recent. Identify where each president was born, what party he represented and who is vice president was.
Math Series (Math.zip): This is more of a math puzzle than a logic problem as the clues are mathematical rather than logical. Columns 1 through 5 each contain a math series. In other words there is a pattern running through the numbers so that you can calculate the next number in the series. Your job is to arrange the numbers in each column to form the math series as described by the clues.
Astronomy Lesson (Planets.zip): Learn about the Solar system. You must place the first five planets of our solar system in order from the Sun. How many moons does each planet have? What is the diameter of each of these planets in miles? How much would a 100 pound man (or woman) weigh on each of these planets? You may use the clues or use your knowledge to solve this one!
